Is it down for everyone or just you? Request a site from several countries and compare status and timing.
Is it down for everyone, or just you?
Request any website from up to five countries at once and see the status and timing (DNS, connect, TLS, first byte) from each place.
About the website down checker
Find out whether a website is down for everyone or only for you. This website down checker requests the site from several countries at once and shows the HTTP status and the timing of each step (DNS, connect, TLS, first byte) from every location.

Everyone or just me?
If every location fails the site is almost certainly down or unreachable. If only some fail, the cause is regional: a DNS problem, a CDN or routing issue, a firewall that blocks certain countries, or a provider outage. If all locations succeed but the site fails for you, the problem is on your side: your network, DNS cache, VPN or browser.
Reading the timings
DNS is the time to look up the name, connect is the TCP handshake, TLS is the encryption handshake and first byte is how long the server took to start answering. A slow DNS or connect time points at the network, a slow first byte at the server or application.
Status codes
2xx means the page loaded and 3xx is a redirect, both counted as up. 4xx errors such as 403 and 404 mean the server is reachable but refuses or cannot find the page. 5xx errors such as 502 and 503 mean the server or an upstream gateway has a fault.

Frequently asked questions
How do I check if a website is down?
Enter the address and press Check now. The result shows the response from each location.
Why does a site work in one country and not in another?
Typical causes are DNS records that differ by region, a CDN edge that is failing, geo-blocking, or routing problems between networks.
Does a 403 or 404 mean the site is down?
No. The server answered. A 403 means access is refused (often a firewall or bot filter) and a 404 means that page does not exist.
Does the tool store my results?
No. The request is made once from several locations, only the status and timing come back, and nothing is kept.
