What this tool does
Design network topology diagrams directly in your browser — drag devices onto the canvas, connect them, and label every link with an interface name, IP range, or VLAN ID.
Features
- 35+ device icons across routers, switches, firewalls, servers, wireless APs, and more
- Vendor product lines for FortiGate, Cisco, Meraki, and Palo Alto
- Five starter templates — basic LAN, hub-and-spoke WAN, 3-tier campus, DMZ, and site-to-site VPN
- Straight, curved, or orthogonal link styles, with draggable labels
- Right-click any device or link to rename, recolor, resize, or reshape it
- Free-standing text notes for annotating the canvas
- Undo/redo, align/distribute tools, and dot, grid, or cross canvas backgrounds
- Export as PNG or SVG, or sign in free to save diagrams to your account and reopen them later
Supported vendors
Generic core devices (router, switch, firewall, load balancer, wireless AP) plus vendor-flavored icons for FortiGate, Cisco, Meraki, and Palo Alto gear — the same platforms covered across netconfig.io's guides.
Exporting and saving your diagram
The canvas itself is free to use with no account needed. Export requires a quick, free Google sign-in — once signed in, you can also save diagrams to your account and reopen them anytime from Templates → Open.
